Atelier Prato: contemporary design between café, dining, and flowers in the heart of Milan

In the heart of Milan, Atelier Prato comes to life—a space that interprets the idea of conviviality in a contemporary way.

The project, curated by Urban Design by Roberto Montanari in collaboration with sisters Violeta and Pia Martinez, owners of the venue, harmoniously combines specialty coffee, dining, and flower sales, creating a place where aesthetics and functionality interact in perfect balance. The space is designed to welcome those who wish to take a break from the city pace or organize an informal meeting, in a modern and relaxed atmosphere.

A distinctive element of the concept is the florist corner, always accessible, dedicated to creating custom bouquets. This space, conceived as a creative workshop, enriches the experience with a sensory dimension that accompanies the customer at any time of day. The scent of flowers and the opportunity to watch unique bouquets being composed transform the visit into a multisensory experience, where flavor is intertwined with natural beauty.

The design of the space follows a minimalist approach, yet is full of personality and attention to detail: materials and textures take center stage, defining a refined and coherent room. Ragno ceramic surfaces integrate perfectly with the wooden furnishings, helping to create a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.

For the flooring, the stone-effect porcelain stoneware collection Realstone Pietrantica, in multi-format 30×60 and 60×60 in Bianco color was chosen, giving continuity and materiality to the spaces. The collection, characterized by warm shades and worn edges, gives the spaces an authentic and timeless charm.

In the florist corner, the checkerboard floor made with a custom Ragno stone-effect collection introduces an original and distinctive detail.

Completing the project, the wall covering with glossy Gleeze brick in Bianco, 5×15 cm format, brightens and enhances the contemporary concept, creating a play of reflections that amplifies the perception of the space.

The result is an elegant and sensory space, where every element contributes to a unique experience.
